Hello! I'm Amy and I am a Consultant for The Body Shop at Home and an aspiring Makeup Artist and love all things beauty and skincare! I love writing product reviews and I’ve recently started my own beauty Vlog on YouTube called Amestarz Beauty, which I’m having so much fun with! For me, makeup is about having fun and bringing out the person you want to be and have the empowerment and confidence to achieve anything you desire.
✨The Body Shop Peels are so underrated! More people need to know about this because in truth, it really is that good! If you need further proof, head over to my 1 minute review video and you will see! 😍
This is a 2-3 times a week essential for your skin. It works by massaging for 20 seconds on dry, clean skin. After this, you will literally see all of the dead skin and impurities lifted from your face on your hands! You can also use this on your feet, knees and elbows to make them softer.
As a top tip, because this is a youth enhancing product, it is a lot denser than the other peeps, whimore...ch means it’s a little bit stickier. To avoid it getting stuck on any peach fuzz, wash it off with a muslin cloth or E.L.F. ‘s Mask off sponges.
You need this product in your life - you won’t regret it!
✨I bought this brush as a back up for when I don’t have time to do my brows in the morning and I have to do them at work 🤦🏽♀️
Budget wise, it’s very good, which is what initially drew me to it. I like the simplicity clear see through look, as I think it looks quite sleek.
However, the brush itself is far too thick to be able to sculpt the brows. I always use Pommade, and the thickness of the brush just translates to far too much product on your brows. It also makes it hard to shape and construct my brows and I just look like I’ve got a mono brow (minus the middle filled in) 😂
Definite nmore...o from me!
✨This. Is. Everything!!! 😍😍
I have always steered clear of facial oils as with having acne probe skin, every face oil I’ve tried always makes me breakout. However, this oil is different... it actually contains salicylic acid, which actually helps to exfoliate and unclog pores, whilst keeping you skin soft and supple with the oil.
The bottle is HUGE and lasts for ages. It is pricey, but you only need a tiny amount to do your whole face.
This is a definite no no if you have got dry skin, but if you have acne or oily skin, this is your saviour! It has actually cleared my skin up dramaticallmore...y, whilst keeping it hydrated.
Even better, it’s cruelty free too!! 😍😍
✨This setting spray is everything! 😍 I love that it truly is continuous - you could literally empty the can in one spray if you wanted to 😂 It really helps with spraying your whole face so you don’t miss an inch, without leaving it splotchy and patchy.
It really does increase the longevity of your makeup and make sure it stays all day. It’s also really handy when you want to wet an eyeshadow brush to increase the pigment of the product.
The can lasted me about 2 - 3 months, with use nearly every day, which I think is reasonable.
I also have Jeffree Star’s version, which I will review shomore...rtly!
✨Ugh, this product is so nice, is so frustrating I can’t buy it again! 😭
This Lippie is the mattest I’ve ever seen from a bullet lipstick whilst in the component, it looks absolutely stunning. It surprised me that when applying it was not drying at all, and was really creamy and easy to apply. I applied it at 9am in the morning and did not retouch in the day, and it was still there at 7pm! Talk about longevity! The colour is SO pigmented it is beautiful, words just don’t do it justice! The packaging is amazing and looks so sleek. It’s a really weighty piece and feels so luxe - I especially lmore...ove the lips where the join is.
So why wouldn’t I purchase again when everything sounds amazing? Well, stupidly I thought because the product was so expensive (£36) I assumed it would be cruelty free - a silly assumption on my part! I am so upset that Pat charges a fortune for her products, yet still chooses to sell in China.
Another reason I can’t purchase again in the packaging. Don’t get me wrong, it looks freakin’ amazing, but it so bad for the environment. It comes in a plastic pouch, filled to the brim with plastic sequins. All of this just ends up in the bin and I can’t see many people reusing it.
So, the moral story for myself, is do proper research before making a purchase. I am so gutted because the product is so beautiful, but harms animals and the environment in the process.
✨This little beauty is now an essential in my makeup routine 😊
I’ve not tried the ABH Brow Gel, but I’d much rather use this at a price of £4.50, especially as it’s so good!
I use this after applying my ABH Dipbrow Pommade to subtly start my eyebrows, then use in upward strokes to define the hairs to not look completely painted on. I recommend using a slightly lighter shade than your Pommade to start your brows.
It also works fab on its own to define your brows, but in a subtle way.
Absolutely living for E.L.F. cosmetics!
✨I don’t Mask without these anymore! 😍 They come dried and slim and when water is added, they then expand and become more sponge like.
I use a lot of clay and charcoal masks, which can be really difficult to shift when they are dry. When completely saturated with water, these literally remove all traces of the mask with one swipe.
They are not abrasive and do not dry your skin out. They can also be used with cleansers to provide extra exfoliation if your skin needs it.
Best £3 I’ve spent! 😍
