I bought these years ago to replace Babyliss ceramic plate ones which I thought would do the job on my thick full long hair as they had wide plates but they just couldn't cope. I gave in to the hype over these and splurged. I only really use them for special occasions but they work wonders, they're also what my hairdresser uses!. Only thing I would improve is a heatproof mat should be included as standard as I always worry about where I place them as they reach such a high temp. Show less
