Seems like a really stupid idea to but this sharpener it's actually really clever. The only way to explain it is there's a little cleanly thing that really helps to stop any old and dry bits of pencils getting on to the pencil itself. Blade takes ages to become blunt, use mine everyday and after nearly a year it's still not blunt. Not too badly priced, highly recommended! Show less
