Generally I like these straighteners. I paid £18 for them on amazon before xmas as I was moving house and needed a cheap pair to last me until I found some better ones. I rarely straighten my hair, only my fringe usually. My hair is quite thick so it took a few more attempts than usual to do the whole head but I wasn't fussed about this. My main concern was that I frazzled a section of my hair when it was set to 235 degrees. I've had a few straighteners in my life and have never burnt my hair before. I don't know whether there was a fault and it got too hot? Since then I've always set the temperature at about 200 and haven't had a problem since. For £18 I can't really complain although I do have to be careful with the temperature. Show less
