This product contains piroctone olamine, which is an anti fungal and, according to head and shoulders, is best suited for mild to moderate dandruff. I bought it because, God knows my hair is rebellious and as far from smooth and silky as it can be; I had high hopes but they weren't really met. It does smell nice, but I felt it stripped the dye from my hair quicker even though it is meant to be good for coloured hair. My hair did feel a bit softer, but this was only in the short term - as per my review on the apple fresh shampoo, the build up is awful. It feels as though you lose volume and your hair is just sad and lank after a while (though the dandruff did improve). Show less
