I use this after the MAC Lip Scrubtious. I get dry lips and it is a great base to smooth out lips before applying lipstick. I've read reviews saying that it is just an expensive lip balm however I do not agree. If I use lip balm before lipstick, it is too slippy and so the lipstick doesn't hold well. I have found that you need to let this product 'dry' for a few minutes before lipstick application, you can tell that it is ready by a slight tacky feeling. One down side is that the stick broke off after only a couple of uses and I wasn't necessarily being heavy handed! Easily fixed but annoying! Show less
