My scalp drives me bonkers, and this was my go-to for long periods of time. This contains piroctone olamine, which is an anti fungal and, according to head and shoulders, is best suited for mild to moderate dandruff. Unlike the other shampoos in this range, I found that it was fantastic for oily hair, it left it feeling squeaky clean, minty fresh and it greatly soothed the itching I had immediately. After a handful of applications the dandruff was so much improved - but it dried my hair out more than it already was, and over time faded my hair colour somewhat (the latter is not unusual in coloured hair with head and shoulders products of course). If you are like me, you will find head and shoulders causes pretty bad product build up after a while so I'd say that this is best for short term or periodic use; maybe switch to a cleansing shampoo every so often to get rid of the silicone on your hair.
