I’m in two minds about this cleanser as it has pros and cons. It’s a lovely balm cleanser which emulsifies really nicely when you add water. The Squalane makes it really gentle on your skin and doesn’t leave your skin dry after use. It is suitable for use on the eyes but I didn’t find that it removed my mascara fully and had to use a separate makeup remover for that. Also, sometimes it didn’t irritate my eyes at all and some times it really stung - so I can’t work that out! It’s great value for money but it does only have a 6 month shelf life. This would be fine if it were the only cleanser on my shelf but I have quite a few that I like to rotate through - so I needed to remember that this one would go off quicker than others. So yes, it works fine as a first cleanser but it’s definitely a no-frills experience. It’s unscented and a bit boring! I like it but I don’t love it! Show less
