I Heart Revolution Rainbow Shots

I discovered the bargainous I {heart} Revolution colour shots on a recent trip to Superdrug. In my infinite wisdom, I'm trying to go white blonde slowly using dyes instead of bleach and I've just reached the baby blonde with yellow bits and white ends stage! My usual Pro:voke purple shampoo and conditioner combo isn't up to the job, so I picked these up as an alternative to Stargazer mixed with conditioner - my default colour corrector when my hair gets too yellow or orange. I chose Rainbow Shots icy blonde which is a very light, chalky grey and I absolutely love it. It's helped to tone out some of the yellow and left my white ends with a soft, smoky grey a la Geralt. It was hard to get it to take, I had to persevere over several washes to get the colour to show up. My hair is in good condition overall with damaged ends - and it was much easier to get it to take where the hair is more porous. If your hair is in better condition, I'd recommend adding this into your normal routine each time you wash to keep the colour fresh. You also need to shake the hell out of the bottles before use. My first application was pure liquid mess instead of a thicker consistency because I didn't shake first. I highly recommend Rainbow Shots - Icy Blonde if you have very light hair that takes dye easily and want a soft grey with a Witcher type vibe. I can't comment on the other colours yet but I have picked up their Rainbow Tones (colour lasts slightly longer than the shots) in lilac dream, so I look forward to trying that out soon!
