Nars Audacious Lipstick

Nars have a great reputation for lipstick, and with good reason. My friends in the know say they have something for everyone, particularly in red. For reference, I have dark brown hair, blue eyes, pigmented lips, and my best foundation matches are Boots No 7 in Calico, Mac NW20, or Nars TM Finland. I have these in Carmen and Anna. The bullets contain more lipstick than most other brands I have. Carmen is the answer to a question I've been trying to answer for years: a bold bright red that makes my skin sing and eyes pop. (I'd been trying to do it with orange reds, which make me look ill). It's a stunning colour. Anna answers a question I was directly asking: an edgy but work appropriate lipstick leaning into purple. Again, it's beautiful on me. They're extremely comfortable and the right level of glossy (not too shiny but not at all matte). Where they fall down is longevity. Even being extremely careful, which believe me I am, these slide all over the place. And in the case of Carmen, it needs some taking off around my mouth because it lingers on my skin. Despite this, I'm thrilled with these lipsticks, my first Nars purchases, and will buy again.

I’m actually wearing this lipstick in my profile pic as I LOVE it so much! For such a pigmented lipstick it has an incredible texture! Not too wet that you get bleeding or wishy washed colour, but not too dry that your lips feel like they’ll chap any minute! I am yet to put it to the eating test; however this is such a must for any lipstick lovers!

Finally, a lipstick that you could apply without a lip liner! The audacious lipstick doesn't bleed, not smudge. Also, highly pigmented. Durable to 4 hours (that was the longest that I had on for, until I ate).

Love these lipsticks. I have the Rita, Natalie and Lana. They glide on easily and look very nice. they last a long time and colour payoff is very good. Beautiful and bold colours as well as lovely nudes.

There is not enough good things that can be said about these lipsticks! They are just WOW! The colour range is fantastic, wear on lips is perfect! It's comfortable on the lips and does not budge easily. The packaging is the best thing, the magnetic lid is IT!
