I don't normally wear falsies, so when NYX released their liftscara I was intrigued. It aims to curl and lift lashes, coating each individual lash with the ultra matte black formula, giving you a brighter, wider eye. I definitely think it lives up to most of their claims but it takes a little bit of work to get there. You need to apply about 3 coats I'd say to get that false lash effect. The applicator is almost like an hourglass and I did notice it could get into some of the areas my other mascaras can't. I didn't need to curl my lashes to notice that they seemed lifted and more voluminous. I like that 'wide awake' look as I often suffer from insomnia and I felt this helped my eyes look bigger. I don't think it's amazing, but I do think there's not an awful lot of other mascaras out there quite like it.(At least from what I've tried anyway).

I am in my late 20's/early 30's with combination, fair tone skin and blue eyes. My hair is red, normal with fine texture.
I was kindly sent this to review by NYX. The brush is a weird shape which I have never seen on a mascara before. It is hourglass shaped but also rounded. The bristles are all the same length. It also has a swiper in the tube so that the brush has the right amount of product on. I found it difficult to apply to my inner corner lashes as I couldn’t figure out how best to hold the brush to get them – I did poke myself in the eye several times. It applies lovely and has a matte finish which I love. The first week I only wore one coat and didn’t notice much lift effect to my lashes. The second week onwards I applied two coats and saw a lift in my lashes. My lashes in with two coats were flexible and didn’t clump. The only downside to this mascara is that it dropped and as someone with Dry Eye it is not good to get bits of mascara in my eyes. I would have liked bristles on the end so that I could hold the brush vertical in order to apply mascara to the inner corner lashes.

I am in my late 40's/early 50's with sensitive, fair tone skin and hazel eyes. My hair is grey, normal with coarse texture.
Love this! Really makes my eyes look a lot more awake..one coat coats most of my lashes giving them great volume and length. So far I haven't found that it flakes off and that is with sweating at the gym so it doesn't give me panda eyes after. Some mascara's I find make my eyes feel heavy or clumpy after the day goes on but I find this doesn't do that. It gives them great length that almost looks false
