The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

What I like about The Ordinary products is that they are straight to the point, simple formulations that work. I have added this in to my skincare routine recently as I felt like my skin needed a bit of hydration. I feel like this has really saved my skin. The hyaluronic acid or sodium hyaluronate is a great ingredient to incorporate as it draws water from the dermis through the epidermis to the stratum corneum which is the most upper layer of skin that we can physically see, and creates a barrier to reduce water loss. I feel like it's increased the appearence of my skin significantly for the price, I would highly recommend this product, as hydrated skin is happy skin!

This feels really sticky and I’m not a huge fan, I think compared to more premium products it doesn’t compare but I do use this on my décolletage but it actually has no benefit to my skin.

This product from The Ordinary is absolutely fantastic. I have been using it now for around three months, with amazing results. I have very blemish probs skin, but it also VERY dehydrated, but this has done the trick. A little of this product goes a long way meaning the bottle will last you for a good while and for under £6 a bottle it's a winner! Combine this with their Moisturising Factors moisturiser to hel lock in the Hyaluronic acid and your face will feel amazing!

Been using this daily for about a week now, bought a few products since my fave is seriously dehydrated. I love how my skin feels after putting it on. Also noticed it reduces my mask spots too which is lovely because let’s be honest they are nasssssty! This is now in my daily skin care routine an will continue to be.

I purchased 2 of these as they were so hard to get my hands on, as reading lots of reviews this looked as though it was the perfect product for me. My skin type is oily, sensitive, acne prone with blemishes and redness. I like the consistency, the feel on my skin, and how smooth my skin looked. It didn’t irritate the sensitivity of my skin - most products usually do so o was happy that this didn’t. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that my skin was breaking out A LOT around my cheeks and the sides of my head. I had been using a new cleanser and this was new at the same time. I assumed it was the cleanser so stopped using that and carried on with this. For some reason my skin was still breaking out a lot and the blemishes didn’t seem to clear. After stopping this, my skin started to clear up (not perfectly but looked much better after 1-2 weeks). As the reviews kept saying that everyone loved it and no one had issues, I decided to try it again but with a different moisturiser to see if that was the issue. After a week, the same breakouts happened so stopped using it. Then a few weeks ago, my serum got to the empty so decided to try it again. I’ve tried this 3 times now during periods of 3-4 weeks and I keep getting the same issue with breaking out. No matter what products I pair it with, I see to be getting the same lot of breakouts, so I’ve realised it’s just not the product for me. Everyone seems to love it, but I just haven’t managed to get this to work, so I’ve purchased a new serum to help with my acne from facetheory after a lot of recommendations! I wouldn’t repurchase!

This hyaluronic acid comes in a glass dropper bottle and 3-4 drops is enough to cover your face. The dropper makes it really easy to control the amount and the bottle lasts a long time. The product soaks in really well and hydrates without feeling greasy. I used every morning before moisturiser until the bottle was gone. Originally I was using with Clinique Moisture Surge which itself contains hyaluronic acid but I was worried about using these together having the same active so I switched to a cheap L’acura moisturiser. This is where I had problems. The two were incompatible, the moisturiser just wouldn’t soak in and left visible white streaks that took a while to rub in. I have since tried the Inkey List hyaluronic acid with this moisturiser with no problems.

I have dry skin and no amount of various different moisturisers and sheet masks have really kept my skin well hydrated. Til I came across a daily set by this brand. Since using the products in that set I've really seen a change in my skin. I use this serum twice a day and it's perfect for keeping my skin soft, subtle and hydrated throughout winter. For me it's really been a game changer, so if you are on the lookout for an affordable serum to lock in hydration then I 100% reccomend this one.. I love it that much I've got a Supersize bottle on the way!

I'm not sure if this is actually doing anything, but it feels nice on my face. I put it on before my moisturiser morning and night. We'll see I guess

So I suffer from hyper pigmentation on my top lip.... tbh looks like I've got a bloomin tash, its not a good look! A friend suggested I try the hyaluronic acid to see if it would help. And it DOES! ok so not gone completely but its definitely lighter and I can cover it with concealer so much easier! Other major plus points are my skin feels and looks so much smoother and I've definitely had less break outs on my chin. I dont wear make up to work so my skin looking good is really important to me and this product has really helped my confidence!
