NYX Born to Glow Naturally Radiant Foundation

Okay so I accidentally reviewed this thinking I was doing the primer and not the foundation. The foundation I was disappointed in. It was blotchy on my skin an smudged so much even after using setting spray (various setting sprays each time) I might use the rest of it for when I’m out shopping etc but i can’t wear it to work: I do 12 hour physical shifts and it just isn’t doable. It looked that awful I used the water from the taps in work mid shift an went make up free and felt better for it! Will not be buying again. Only bought because I read an heard so many good reviews.

Okay so I bought this to use on clients after hearing such good reviews. And I'm torn as I think it has some good points: price, range of shades and overall look. However on myself I found it a little too glowy, so if you have oily skin or it's a summers day I would avoid as it did transfer. It hasn't put me off I just would always use this with a good setting powder and concealer. If you love a glowy dewy finish this is perfect for you.

tested out this foundation for a first impression as it was brand new in my local store, and was curious to see if it would work on my oily skin and it’s called ‘born to glow’. I usually stay away from anything which says ‘glow’ or ‘glowy’ as I have oily skin so these aren’t usually the beat for me. Saying this, I love my L’Oréal True Match and Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundations, and these have a nice glow to them and aren’t specifically for oily skin. I was a bit apprehensive to test out this foundation as I have NEVER had a good experience with NYX foundations but thought I’d test this out anyway as it looked pretty good, but was still pretty expensive for a drugstore foundation. I purchased this in Medium Olive as it looked like the best match in the store and it definitely was the best shade and matched me PERFECTLY! I used my beauty blender to apply and my usual primers - benefit porefessional and Smashbox Primer Water - and it sat well on my skin and blended out beautifully. I got a medium-full coverage and the glow wasn’t looking like an oily mess, and just had a nice luminosity to it which made it look natural on the skin. This lasted well for over 8 hours on my skin, but did start to come off around the sides of my face, but I really did enjoy it. I liked the shade match, how it looked on my skin and how it lasted. I didn’t get oily throughout the day, my oils didn’t peak through at all and was easily buildable. Pros: - large shade range with a range of undertones - drugstore product so it’s affordable - worked well with my oily skin - worked well with my primers - lasted for over 8 hours - has a nice glow to the skin that didn’t look wet or oily - good medium-full coverage - cruelty free - buildable - didn’t break my sensitive skin out or irritate - hardly any fragrance - rest of my makeup glided in easily Cons: - quite expensive for a drugstore foundation - feels a little heavy on the skin Overall, I really like thi
