My skin savior For the longest time, I really struggled with my skin. I’d always had pretty clear skin thanks to my holy grail, go-to skincare products. Unfortunately, the moisturizer I used was discontinued and I’ve spent the past two years trying to find something that will help me. I went so far as spending forty dollars on high-end moisturizers only to have it make my very, very sensitive skin break out in clusters and painful pimples. I’d nearly given up and started to forget I ever had glowing skin that made strangers in my dorm building’s bathroom approach me and ask what I do to make my skin look so clear and healthy. I remember the time when all I had to do was use concealer because my skin was so unproblematic and blemish-free, I didn’t have to bother with foundation if I didn’t want to. I bounced from product to product. From clearasil to boscia and glam glow. Nothing meant to aid my acne and sensitive skin actually helped clear it. So of course I’m forced to keep trying new products left and right and though I have always been a fan of Tarte and their makeup line, I never got all that into their skincare. I had heard great things, but my sensitive skin (and pocket) made me very wary. I stumbled upon the maracuja oil just during Black Friday weekend (2018) and I figured I would give it a go and try the travel size so as not to spend another $50 on something that might not work. I got the product in the mail about three or four days ago and immediately put it to use. I applied the oil directly to a freshly-washed and dried face and then combined it with my moisturizer (day and night). It only took one day for me to see results and as the days continue to go by, I just see more and more progress. I haven’t had any new breakouts and the already existing blemishes have flattened and begun to heal. Even the dark spots have already begun to lighten as well.
