Value for money
I absolutely adore this product and with a tiny design tweak I'd give it 5 stars! I already have very dark, almost black brows. The hairs are naturally very thick and the whole brow itself is as well, so given the current trend for brow emphasis I feel really lucky in this department. I've always accentuated and emphasised my brows, and the only real issue I face with them is that the hairs are quite sparse, particularly out towards the outer end.
Brow mascaras are the fix to my problem, and at the moment there's no shortage of them on the market! I've given many of them a whirl and often I find that while they go on just fine, within an hour or so they've dried out and become flaky. This is less of an issue with eyelash mascaras as there is limited movement of the upper eyelid and only one row of hairs. With eyebrows being in a few layers and many directions of movement, dry, mascaras flake off and end up on my cheeks. Not this one! The formula stays put on the brows throwugh the whole day! I've no need to reapply and one coat does the job all day. I find it to be equal, if not superior, to Glossiers boy brows.
The pigmentation is really strong, the texture during application and after drying is fantastic, the colour is spot on (for me, TBM05 Black/noir). The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is the wand design. I wish it was shorter and thinner, the triangular design means that I often make a mess, and any time I have to stop and fix any product that's strayed on to the skin around my brows, ot'd come off the wider end, as it's too wide to easily control. And because the product is so good and thick and heavily pigmented, removing any from the skin becomes a total shitemare! foundation ends up coming off too, i just wish, wish, WISH they'd redesign it!
