Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion-Original

This eye shadow primer is good and does the job but I really don’t think it’s worth the price. You can get a much cheaper one that does exactly the same!

I always come back to this one. If I use UD Primer Potion, my eyeshadow will stay put, all day. Other primers work for a few hours, then I notice creasing. Not with Primer Potion. I have oily lids and hooded eyes.

I was given this when I bought my first ever product from urban decay and I was so excited to use it after hearing the reviews . I was massively disappointed it was awful . I used it underneath my eyeshadow as advised and my eyeshadow was very patchy I decided to apply to the other eye and it was completely perfect on the other eye . This is not a product I would recommend to anyone or consider purchasing myself

I don’t wear eyeshadow as much as I used to as I am a homebody – my look when I go out is eyeliner and mascara. Also because of my dry eye and MGD I find wearing eyeshadow difficult as the fallout makes my eyes very sore and bloodshot. I bought this as I wanted to wear some eyeshadow and had hoped that this would prevent any problems with my eyes. It did and the eyeshadows not only stayed on all day but looked more vibrant and defined than without. A small amount and I mean a small amount either applied with fingers or a brush goes along way. It gives the eyelid a skin coloured matte finish that grabs and holds into place any eyeshadow that is put on top of it. I found the eyeshadows that I wore blended better and didn’t have the hard edges they were blended into one and another. There was no shadow fall out either. As I don’t wear eyeshadow that much, I would not buy the full size only the travel size. It is a shame that the other variants aren’t available in travel size too.

This is was my go to eyeshadow primer for so long. Makes the eyeshadow pop and last long. They also do a range of finishes and this primer doesn’t cause any creasing on my lid. However it is expensive when compared to alternative options which are better.

I have tried a lot of eyeshadows primer and always go back to this. It stays just tacky enough without making lid remain sticky. Gives a good neutral base and shadow lasts all day!

I have always had a problem with my eyeshadow creasing within a few hours of application, but this really keeps it in place. It’s easy to apply with no mess and lasts all day. One of my make up bag must haves!

It keeps eyeshadow in place. No smudging or crease. And doesn't feel heavy as well as some eyeshadow base do.

This stuff is amazing! I never believed the hype until I have finally bought it in the Black Friday sale! I was a bit confused at first as it seems to have an oily texture and that made me think it would surely make my eyeshadow crease more, but weirdly it doesn’t. I wore it from 11am - 11pm when I was on a day trip and I was seriously shocked to see that my eyeshadow was pretty much still in place. I’ve worn it everyday, think I am hooked now!

This isnt worth the hype. I've used a fair few times. And everytime, it looks cakey, usually end up wiping my eyes and re doing them. I find using concealer and powder to set my eyes, if far more effective. I ended up throwing mine in the bin. Personally I dont think you need a specific product as an eye primer, i've got so many other products I can use. But many people have loved this product. I would suggest you try and get hold of a sample size, and test it out before buying full size. Or just figure out what works with the products you already own
