If you're struggling to identify your perfect shade, we've developed a super easy 3-step system to make it easier for you.
Identify which colour category you fall into from Light, Medium, or Dark. This is based on how your skin reacts to the sun, such as LIGHT skin tends to burn easily in the sun but slowly develop colour, MEDIUM skin tan in the sun but can burn if exposed to the sun for a longer time, and DARK skin tend to tan easily and rarely burn.
Identify your undertone from Golden, Rose, or Neutral. Undertones refer to the tones in your skin, aside from pigmentation, rosea, blemishes, or when you blush. Golden undertones are cool and olive, with a little more yellow tone than pink. Rose undertones are warm blush tones, with more pink or red tone, while Neutral undertones are a perfect mix of both rose and golden tones, creating a beige, peachy skin tone.
Choose your depth from 1-3 (and sometimes 4). This is based on how dark or light you want or need your foundation to be. Within each category and undertone, we offer a sliding scale of shades from 1 being the lightest and 3 (or 4) being the darkest. We understand that makeup and skin are a very personal, bespoke element of beauty, so we offer a variety of shades to suit your preferences.
For an uber hydrated glowy look, use Hydra Veil Primer before applying Beyond Foundation. This will keep your skin in place all day, smooth away any pores, and fine lines, giving you a youthful, perfected glow. Apply a 10-pence-sized amount of product around the T-Zone after moisturiser for best results.
