I have black hair naturally and have played around with red dye over the years. It’s a very high maintenance colour as it happens, I used this when I initially went red (5 years ago). After 3 years of rocking my natural colour I decided to get a red balayage. Obviously the current situation is far from ideal when it comes to getting your hair sorted, I don’t box dye my hair but my red had gone from a vibrant cherry bomb shade to a faded copper (which isn’t bad but isn’t me). This colour shot is brilliant for boosting the red, it deposits a little bit of colour- I need to use the full 20 minute wait time- it boosted the colour and left my hair in great condition. A bit pricey but if you’re particular about your hair colour I recommend these. It really does extend the life of your colour, put some vaseline on your hairlines to prevent skin staining and just make sure you pop a shower cap on once you’ve applied it as it can run. It can stain clothes and surfaces but it does wash off, just varies how well it washes off different materials. Show less
