I've tried many different high end purple shampoo for my platinum blond hair. Yes this takes the brassy yellow tones out that's why I've given it at least two stars but for nothing else. I left this on my hair for literally the time it took me to rub it in, washed it straight out and my hair went purple/ well pale violet! Once dry it felt like straw. It may work for you but I wouldn't buy this again sorry Show less
