One coat is enough for thickened lashes and 2 coats gives an almost false lash effect which makes this a great mascara for nights out. It doesn’t go clumpy and lasts well (it doesn’t survive running but then it isn’t waterproof!). The only reason I wouldn’t purchase it again is that I think the soap and glory thick and fast mascara is very similar and much cheaper. Show less
