This is absolutely ideal for the newbie or nervous self-tanner as it's so easy to apply. It's transparent going on so there's no real guide to where you've already applied, but this hasn't been a problem so far. A couple of hours after application and your skin has a very natural, streak-free colour. But it does accelerate quite a lot over night to a much darker tan and that's when you may notice darker spots on dry patches. To combat this I just wipe a slightly damp cloth over my knees and ankles after applying. The tan lasts for about 5 days. Show less
