This mascara is very good at separating and lengthening lashes, and it has a skinny applicator which makes it easy to do your lower lash line. However, if you're looking for volume, I wouldn't recommend this. I also find the applicator awkward to use because it is so long and skinny, and managed to stab myself in the eye multiple times while using it.
