I'm trying to avoid physical exfoliation these days as I don't want anything too harsh on my skin (I stick to acid exfoliation and enzyme peels) and this one is more of an enzyme peel so it's not at all abrasive. This is great to leave on for a few minutes as a mask and then you massage into your skin and you'll see that the product starts to pill and that's where the exfoliation comes in. Add some water and massage again to remove the product (which further gently exfoliates) and then you're left with really smooth and soft skin with your pores looking more refined. Show less
