I received this when it was on offer (free if you spent £75). I wanted to love this foundation and have spent 2 weeks wearing it different ways to give it every chance. I’ve tried it with hollywood flawless filter underneath and also my No 7 radiant primer - both leave the foundation looking a little patchy. I’d say it works best with no primer at all, applied with a brush initially and smoothed over with beauty blender. My skin is normal but I do find this can leave a few small cakey areas, especially around the nose. I’m hoping it may be better in the summer time when skin may be less dry. I don’t find it needs setting with powder. It dries quite quickly and you really don’t need much so only add a small amount. I think this foundation would be more suited to oily/combination skin. Think Estée Lauder Double Wear beats this foundation - more natural looking and less heavy.

I am in my late 30's/early 40's with combination, light tone skin and brown eyes. My hair is blonde, normal with fine texture.
When it’s good it’s looks amazing but when it’s bad it’s bad!!
In the past I have had a love hate relationship with this product as I’ve found the moisturiser used has a massive impact on the finished look. When I used the LM primer the foundation looked patchy and uneven, however when using either CT Magic cream or Embryolisse with the product my skin looks absolutely amazing.
I do find that this oxidisers ever so slightly

I just love how this foundation makes my skin look! When doing 12 hour shifts I need a foundation that lasts and still looks as good 14 hours later. This foundation fits that. My skin looks smooth and I just can’t live without this foundation. I really can’t. Blends easy. Goes on easy. Not patchy atall. 5/5 hands down

I have worn this foundation loyally for the past year and i could not live without it! I actually bought it when i was suffering from acne - and it covered it all without caking! I still wear it even with clear skin (i am still oily) and it sits so lovely on my skin and lasts all day!

I am in my mid 20's with combination, tanned tone skin and blue eyes. My hair is blonde, processed with normal texture.
I have a love hate relationship with this foundation. When I first started using it (over moisturiser and primer) I hated it, it went patchy, separated and looked really oily after an hour. However I have since started moisturising, applying translucent powder before primer and then foundation. This seems to help it stay in place and banish oil for a bit longer. Applying it is also a pain, it dries quickly so works best when applied with fingers, but then leaves smear marks so needs buffing out and blending with a flat brush.
On good days I like how it looks on my skin, and it does have a good coverage. On bad days I take it all off and vow to never buy it again. I think the coverage is prob all too full for summer so I have recently bought the tarte water foundation.

When my skin started to become blemish galore during lockdown I was on the hunt for a foundation that not only covered my blemishes but also helped it to. After searching for a few days and going back and forth with the Nars foundation I finally made the decision to purchase this, and found the foundation finder and colour matcher on her website very helpful although; I did think the one they matched me with would have been too dark so I went a shade lighter but with the same undertone. so glad I did! I am a neutral tone so I chose (5 neutral) and it still looked a little yellow when I first tried it on the back of my hand. I was a little scared to put it on my face but proceeded anyways! Luckily it was a good match !
On application I tried to follow charlottes way of using a brush with little product (as I heard a lot goes a long way) but after doing this a few times it just never seemed to look quite right on my skin and I was becoming frustrated cause I really wanted to love this foundation (especially because I just spent £34 on it). So I gave up with the brush and went back to my old ways and used a beauty blender. It blended and melted on the skin much better but does give you a more fuller coverage which I didn’t mind too much as long as it didn’t look caked on which it didn’t. Phew! It didn’t fully dry down as I only powder my t-zone with her airbrush flawless powder but it does still transfer.
Throughout the day it wore well and the oils on my forehead seemed to be controlled which I was very happy with! It did go a bit patchy on my chin but I am really dry in that area, i was half expecting this , so I would need to take this out maybe if I was to go out all day to just top us around the chin or just use a concealer .
Overall I do like this foundation however it’s took me a long time to figure out how to use as I am a light coverage kind of girl. Still not sure if I will repurchase but wanna keep trying it and use it. What do you guys think?

I was so excited to try this foundation as i had read rave reviews and seen incredible differences on instagram pages etc. I actually asked the make up artist at charlotte tilbury for a tester pot of the foundation to go along with my purchase so i could try that before breaking into the bottle (I was informed that they didn't do tester pots as they have a foundation colour for everyone and the colour i have is perfect for my skin) i had a voucher so i bought it anyway and it looked fine in the shop. Next day when i put it on the coverage was incredible and looked flawless, however the shade given was far to pale so i returned for a slightly darker colour. Once happy with the colour i tried the foundation for a good week. It looked absolutely flawless upon application ( i always use the urban decay setting spray to make it last) however after lunch time it began to look ashy on my face and after finishing work was patchy in alot of places and looked really ashy (like i was wearing a powder foundation) not the look i was going for. Upon application i found if i didnt work quickly it became hard to blend and stuck in places ( i always serum and moisturise and prime before putting foundation one). The one good thing i would say is is photographs amazingly but it is very heavy and not a good day foundation

I have this in the shade 3 neutral which is a really good match, using the shade finder on the Charlotte tilbury website was really helpful as you can put in a foundation and colour you know matches you well and it will recommend the most suitable shade for you. I am finding it really difficult to review as I have such mixed feelings on the product overall! So to break it down let’s start with the coverage, it’s a decent full coverage straight off the bat with just one pump, though even this can look a bit makeupy so I’d be really nervous of trying to build up with additional layers. I applied with a brush which was fine but you have to work quickly as it becomes difficult to spread and blend after a few seconds so I found best to apply in sections which obviously takes abit longer, it doesn’t seem to dry down completely but looks quite heavy with powder on top so I limited to powdering just my t zone and under eye area. For the first few hours it does look quite nice but on each day of wearing I found around the 5 hour mark it started to look abit dry on my chin and then looked as though it had just been wiped off leaving a speckly sort of finish just on my chin area! I tried making sure my skin was well prepped and moisturised but this made no difference. Honestly all a lot of effort to still not be impressed with the wear of the product, for the hefty price tag of £35 I’d realistically expect a lot more from the quality. For info I have normal/combo skin and tested with a hydrating primer spray or no primer. Definitely won’t be repurchasing or probably even finishing the bottle.

I had high hopes for this foundation but unfortunately it didn't work well with my skin type. After 2 hours it stars looking very heavy and greasy on my skin. It has a very strong smell as well which i didn't like.

I excitedly brought this on launch day, tried it a few times and oh my gosh I hated it!! It looked awful on me after an hour! I ended up selling it on.
